High pile carpet eats chair casters. A hard mat bridges the pile so the chair rolls instead of sinking. The best desk mat for high pile carpet is the one that stays flat on deep pile, holds the chair’s weight, and does not shift. We compared five mats by size, material, capacity, safety and warranty, using only what each listing publishes.

How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance (size, material and capacity), build, value for the stated specs, safety and warranty. None of the five states a safety certification. Only the Koonmi states a warranty: lifetime. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Koonmi Glass Chair Mat | 9.7 | 32 | 22 | 20 | n/a | 3 |
| Soimeat 32×55 Chair Mat | 9.6 | 32 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Soimeat 32×47.2 Chair Mat | 9.6 | 30 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Keydol 50×60 Chair Mat | 9.6 | 30 | 19 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| BesWin 32×48 Chair Mat | 9.6 | 28 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
