Home office gear, compared spec by spec.

About OfficeKitHQ

OfficeKitHQ helps you choose the right equipment: office chairs, gaming chairs, seat cushions, standing desks, computer desks, desk lamps, monitor arms and stands, keyboards, mice, webcams, ring lights, headsets, computer speakers, docking stations, USB hubs, surge protectors, printers, label makers, shredders, bookshelves, file cabinets and desk organizers.

We write for three kinds of home worker: people setting up a first home office in a spare room or an apartment corner, remote and hybrid employees upgrading the desk they sit at all day, and students and freelancers who need gear that fits a small desk.

Listings answer some questions and leave others out. We answer the ones buyers actually ask. Will this chair fit someone my height and weight? How high does this standing desk go, and how much can it lift? Does this monitor arm hold my screen? Will this dock drive two monitors from my laptop? How many outlets and joules does this surge protector give me?

How we compare gear

We compare products by the details that decide whether they suit you: seat height range, adjustments and weight capacity for chairs; height range and lift capacity for standing desks; VESA pattern and weight range for monitor arms; switch type and connection for keyboards; resolution and field of view for webcams; microphone and battery life for headsets; ports and power delivery for docks; outlet count and joule rating for surge protectors; and the warranty. Every product carries a Office Score built from the same five criteria.

We are direct about the limits of this. We do not run our own product trials, and we do not take physical measurements of products. Our How We Pick page explains exactly what our process involves and what it does not.

What we will not do

  • We do not give medical or health advice. We never say a chair, cushion, desk or keyboard prevents, treats or relieves pain, injury or any condition, and we treat the word ergonomic as the maker’s description of adjustments, not a health result.
  • We never call a surge protector surge proof or fireproof, and we report joule ratings, UL listings, weight capacities and anti-tip hardware as the maker’s published figures.
  • We do not invent specifications, ratings or prices, and we do not copy Amazon customer reviews or star ratings into our articles.
  • We do not write prices into our articles, because they change constantly.

Who runs OfficeKitHQ

OfficeKitHQ is written and edited by the OfficeKitHQ Editorial team. The team sets the editorial standards, maintains the Office Score method and its published weights, decides what gets published, and is responsible for accuracy, sourcing and corrections. How we use AI drafting tools is explained in our Editorial Policy.

How we are funded

OfficeKitHQ earns money through affiliate links. When you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never decides what we recommend or how we rank it. The details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
