How we scored them
The Desk Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. Warranties are rare here: only two of the five state one, 20 months and 90 days. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| YSAGi Large Extended Desk Pad | 9.5 | 30 | 20 | 20 | 0 | 3 |

How to choose the best desk mat for black desk
Size it to the desk
Sizes here run from 23.6 by 13.8 inches on the QSYZAIL to 55 by 24 inches on the AFIING. The YSAGi at 35.4 by 17 covers a keyboard, mouse and more; the Vine at 24 by 17 is the classic size. Measure the desk before ordering. See every desk mat guide for more.
Material and thickness
Three are PU or faux leather, the Vine adds suede, and the AFIING pairs cork with vegan PU leather. Thickness runs from 0.08 inches on the YSAGi to 0.12 inches on the Vine, with the Hahafelt at 2 mm. Thicker mats cushion the wrists better; thinner mats sit flatter under a keyboard.
Warranty
Only two state a warranty: 20 months on the YSAGi and 90 days on the Vine Creations, per their spec tables. The others state none. A stated warranty is the tiebreaker between two close picks.
Setup Notes
- Check the size: 23.6×13.8 to 55×24 in stated.
- Material: PU leather, faux leather and suede, cork and vegan PU.
