Detailed Review
The LovePads listing states a clear table cover protector at 40 x 72 inch and 1.5mm thick, made of BPA-free PVC, non-slip and easy to clean with a damp cloth, for desks, dining tables, dressers and counters. It states the pad can be cut to size and notes a slight size difference from cutting is not a quality issue. It weighs 3.64 pounds. One nuance: the listing offers 1.5mm and 2mm thicknesses, and the 176°F/80°C heat figure is stated for the 2mm option, so the listed 1.5mm pad carries no heat figure of its own.
Who it's for: a reader who wants a large clear pad to trim to a desk or dining table. Who should skip it: anyone who wants a stated heat limit for the 1.5mm thickness.
Its Office Score of 9.7/10 comes from performance 32/35, build 21/25, value 21/25, safety not scored (non-powered gear) and warranty 0/5: 74 of 90 points, placed on our 9.2 to 9.8 scale.

How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance (size, thickness and heat limit), build (material and weight), value for the stated specs, safety and warranty. For a desk pad, safety means a stated safety certification on the listing; none states one, so safety scores zero across the group. None of the listings states a warranty term. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LovePads Clear 40×72 | 9.7 | 32 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| Leoewo Clear 60×60 | 9.6 | 30 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| Eisdroma Clear 24×48 | 9.6 | 29 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| FEHAONST Clear 12×24 | 9.6 | 28 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Eisdroma Clear 14×24 | 9.5 | 28 | 20 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best desk pad protective cover
Size first: measure the desk
Size decides the fit before anything else. The Leoewo lists 60 x 60 inch, the LovePads lists 40 x 72 inch, the Eisdroma 24 x 48 lists 24 x 48 inch, the Eisdroma 14 x 24 lists 14 x 24 inch and the FEHAONST lists 12 x 24 inch. Every one of the five can be cut to size with a pencil mark and scissors, per the listings, and several note a little extra cut for shrinkage margin. Measure the desk first, then pick the closest size above it rather than counting on a trim to save a short pad.
Thickness and heat
Thickness runs 1.5mm on four picks and 2mm on the Eisdroma 24 x 48. Heat limits cluster at 176°F/80°C on the LovePads 2mm option, both Eisdroma picks and the FEHAONST, with the Leoewo listing 176°F/81°C. A thicker pad stays put better on a slick desk, while a thinner pad rolls and stores more easily. For hot plates, the listings advise a placemat under the plate even on the thicker pads.
| Desk Pad | Size | Thickness | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| LovePads Clear 40×72 | 40 x 72 inch | 1.5mm | 3.64 pounds |
| Leoewo Clear 60×60 | 60 x 60 inch | 1.5mm | 8.9 pounds |
| Eisdroma Clear 24×48 | 24 x 48 inch | 2mm | 1.68 kg |
| FEHAONST Clear 12×24 | 12 x 24 inch | 1.5mm | 12.16 ounces |
| Eisdroma Clear 14×24 | 14 x 24 inch | 1.5mm | 0.39 kg |
Figures as stated in each listing. Weights mix pounds, ounces and kilograms as listed; compare within the same unit.
Weight and staying put
Weight is what keeps a clear pad from sliding. The Leoewo lists 8.9 pounds, the LovePads lists 3.64 pounds, the Eisdroma 24 x 48 lists 1.68 kg, the FEHAONST lists 12.16 ounces and the Eisdroma 14 x 24 lists 0.39 kg. The LovePads and FEHAONST listings also claim a non-slip surface. A heavier pad suits a desk that gets leaned on; a lighter pad suits a desk that gets cleared often.
Cleaning and flattening
Every listing describes wipe-clean care with a damp cloth. Pads arrive rolled, so flattening matters: the Leoewo listing suggests a hair dryer, sunlight, steam or warm water for ripples, and the FEHAONST listing suggests heavy items pressed on the reverse-roll direction or tape dots. Let a new pad relax flat before judging the fit, and wipe spills promptly so color does not seep in, per the LovePads listing.
Setup Notes
- Measure the desk before ordering: sizes run 12 x 24 inch to 60 x 60 inch here.
- Cuttable pads can be trimmed with a pencil mark and scissors, per the listings.
- Check the heat limit before hot plates: 176°F/80°C on most picks, 176°F/81°C on the Leoewo.
- A mouse pad on top helps optical mice, per the Eisdroma 14 x 24 listing.
