The Lamzu Maya X glides on its feet, but it is the pad that decides the glide. The best mouse pad for Lamzu Maya X pairs a tracking-friendly surface with the right footprint for the desk: a medium control pad for mouse-only setups, or an extended mat when the keyboard joins in. How we scored them
The OfficeKit Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. For mouse pads, safety would mean a stated safety certification; none of the five states one, so no safety points were given. Three of the five state warranty terms: 2 years on the Corsair, 1 year on the Lenovo, and 24 months replacement on the Black Shark. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Corsair MM Anti-Fray Medium | 9.7 | 30 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 3 |
| Lenovo Legion Control L | 9.7 | 29 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 3 |
| Black Shark Manta P3 | 9.6 | 28 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 3 |
| Brecoy Wave Desk Mat | 9.6 | 27 | 20 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| Amazon Basics Large Pad | 9.5 | 26 | 20 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best mouse pad for Lamzu Maya X
Surface for an optical sensor
The Maya X tracks with an optical sensor, so the weave matters. The Corsair’s micro-woven cloth is explicitly built for optical tracking, the Lenovo’s control surface is tuned for low-DPI precision, and the Black Shark’s textured cloth balances speed and control. The Brecoy’s low-friction lycra favors fast swipes. For general reading on pad types, browse our mice and mouse pads guides.
Speed or control
Pads split into speed and control camps, and the Maya X works with both. Speed surfaces like the Brecoy’s low-friction lycra let fast swipes travel far with little effort, which suits high-sensitivity play. Control surfaces like the Lenovo’s tuned polyester and the Black Shark’s textured cloth add friction that steadies fine aim, which suits low-sensitivity play. The Corsair sits in the middle: micro-woven for tracking precision without feeling slow. Pick the camp that matches the sensitivity, not the mouse.
Size against the desk
Pads here run from the Corsair’s 320 by 300 mm mouse-only square to the Black Shark’s 35.4 by 15.8 inch desk-wide mat, with the Brecoy at 31.5 by 11.8 inches and the Lenovo at 450 by 400 mm in between. Measure the desk first: an extended mat anchors the keyboard too, while a medium pad leaves desk space free. The Amazon Basics square at 17.7 by 15.7 inches is the simple middle ground.
Thickness and edges
Thickness runs 2 mm on the Lenovo, 3 mm on the Brecoy, 4 mm on the Black Shark and 0.08 inches on the Amazon Basics; the Corsair states no figure. Thin pads keep the mouse near desk level; thicker pads add cushion. Edges decide longevity: the Corsair, Lenovo and Black Shark all state anti-fray or locked edges, while the Amazon Basics states none.
Care and warranty
The Amazon Basics is machine washable, the Brecoy and Black Shark wipe clean thanks to water- and spill-resistant coatings, and the Lenovo’s waterproof finish does the same. On warranties, the Corsair leads with 2 years, the Black Shark offers 24-month replacement, and the Lenovo 1 year; the Brecoy and Amazon Basics state no term.
Setup Notes
- Unroll the pad and let it lie flat before the first session; extended mats can hold a curl from shipping.
- Place the pad so the mouse cable, if any, never drags across the surface.
- Clean with a damp cloth for coated pads; only the Amazon Basics lists machine washing.
- Keep the rubber base on a dry, flat desk so the pad stays put during fast swipes.
