How we scored them
The Office Score weighs pad fit, build, value, safety and warranty. Cert here means a stated comfort or safety feature such as a wrist rest; two of the five listings name one. Warranty terms here run from 30 days to 1 year: the Logitech states 1 year limited hardware, the Kinevolve states 30 days return and exchange, and the other three state nothing. The LIMKRIAN leads on its cooling gel wrist rest. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LIMKRIAN Cat Wrist Rest Pad | 9.5 | 28 | 20 | 19 | 5 | 0 |
| Oriday Productivity Mouse Pad | 9.5 | 28 | 19 | 19 | 5 | 0 |
| Kinevolve Shortcut Mouse Pad | 9.5 | 30 | 20 | 19 | 0 | 1 |
| Logitech G240 Gaming Pad | 9.4 | 28 | 19 | 19 | 0 | 1 |
| Pixiecube Excel Desk Pad | 9.4 | 30 | 20 | 18 | 0 | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score.
How to choose the best mouse pad for productivity
Wrist support or flat pad
Two picks here add wrist support: the LIMKRIAN with its cooling gel wrist rest and the Oriday with 3 mm of cushioned thickness. The other three are flat pads. If your wrist aches by afternoon, start with a supported pad; if you want a large surface, the flat desk pads give you more room.
Size: pad or desk mat
Sizes here run from 9.5 x 7.9 inches to 31.5 x 11.8 inches. The Pixiecube at 31.5 inches covers keyboard and mouse; the LIMKRIAN and Oriday are compact mouse pads. Measure your desk before you order; a 31.5 inch desk mat cannot fit a 24 inch desk.
Shortcut references
Two picks print shortcut keys: the Pixiecube for Excel and the Kinevolve for Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Windows. If you live in spreadsheets, a printed reference saves constant lookups. If you want a clean look, the plain pads suit better.
