How we scored them
The Desk Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. Rest features matter most here: two are reclining chairs with foot rests, three are pillows. None of the five states a warranty term. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EMIAH Reclining Office Chair | 9.7 | 33 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| ELABEST C57 Reclining Chair | 9.6 | 32 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| chislim Nap Desk Pillow | 9.5 | 28 | 19 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| xiaomubiao Headrest Pillow | 9.5 | 28 | 19 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Shapeazy Neck Pillow | 9.5 | 27 | 19 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best office chair for napping
Chair or pillow
Two of the five are reclining office chairs; three are pillows for the headrest or desk. A chair replaces the seat; a pillow upgrades the chair you have. See every office chair guide for more.
Recline and foot rest
The EMIAH and ELABEST recline and include a foot rest. The pillows state no recline. For a real nap, recline plus foot rest is the combination.
Pillow features
The xiaomubiao has an arm hole; the chislim is made for napping, per its listing; the Shapeazy is portable. Pick the feature that matches where you nap.
Setup Notes
- Check the type: two reclining chairs, three pillows.
- Recline: stated on the two chairs only.
- Pillows: memory foam or memory cotton.
- None of the five states a warranty term.
