By mid-afternoon the feet end up tucked under the chair or stretched into the aisle, and the best footrest for office desk is the one that keeps them planted without stealing legroom. Foam, platform and rocking designs all do the job differently, and the listings split on height adjustment. We compared four under-desk footrests on height settings, tilt, size, materials and stated warranty, using only what each listing publishes.

Safety and Warranty
What this listing states. This product does not plug in or run on a battery, so safety is not part of its score. Lifetime Warranty stated. It does not say everything a buyer needs, such as who pays return shipping, so warranty scores 3 of 5. See How We Pick.
Comfort, not treatment. Cushions, pillows, footrests and chair mats change how a desk feels; they are not medical devices. Check the size against your chair or floor and keep mats flat so casters do not catch.

How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. For footrests, safety means a stated safety listing or protective feature, and none of the four states one, so safety scored zero across the board. Only the ComfiLife states a warranty term. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ComfiLife Memory Foam Foot Rest | 9.7 | 30 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 3 |
| ErGear Adjustable Footrest | 9.6 | 32 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Everlasting Comfort Foot Rest | 9.6 | 29 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| CasaZenith Rocking Footrest | 9.5 | 28 | 19 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best footrest for office desk
Foam or platform
The ComfiLife and Everlasting Comfort are memory foam; the ErGear and CasaZenith are hard plastic. Foam conforms and stays warm, while a platform gives a firm surface and, on the ErGear, a massage texture. If your feet run cold or you like softness, pick foam. If you want to shift and rock, pick a platform. The massage textures on the ErGear platform and the CasaZenith roller add foot stimulation that foam cannot give.
Height settings and tilt
The ErGear offers 3 heights at 4.3, 5.5 and 6.7 inches plus a ±30° tilt, the most adjustment here. The ComfiLife offers 2 height options. The Everlasting Comfort and CasaZenith have fixed heights. Taller sitters and high chairs benefit most from the ErGear’s range; if your chair is already low, a fixed foam rest is enough.
| Footrest | Heights | Tilt | Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| ComfiLife | 2 options | Not stated | 15.37×11.81 in |
| ErGear | 4.3, 5.5, 6.7 in | ±30° | 17.13×13.19 in |
| Everlasting Comfort | Fixed | Rocker flip | 17×9.5 in |
| CasaZenith | Fixed | Rocking | 13×9.2 in |
Size, weight and cleaning
The ErGear’s 17.13 x 13.19 inch platform is the largest surface; the CasaZenith’s 13 x 9.2 inches is the most compact. Weights run from 1.1 pounds on the CasaZenith to 4.7 pounds on the ErGear. The ComfiLife and Everlasting Comfort have machine-washable covers, the ErGear a washable surface, and the CasaZenith direct cleaning. Browse the full seating category guides for chair mats, casters and footrests.
Rocking or still
The CasaZenith rocks by design with a massage roller, and the Everlasting Comfort flips into a rocker. The ComfiLife flips to a rocker too. The ErGear tilts ±30° but is a platform, not a rocker. If you fidget, a rocker keeps the feet moving; if you want still support, use the foam pieces flat. Compare with best ergonomic footrest for under desk for more options.
Memory foam care
The ComfiLife and Everlasting Comfort both state machine-washable removable covers, which is the main upkeep advantage of foam. Spot-clean the foam itself and let it air dry; the covers handle the laundry. Foam compresses over years of daily use, which is where the ComfiLife stated lifetime warranty stands out against the field.
When fixed heights are enough
The Everlasting Comfort and CasaZenith offer no height adjustment, which suits sitters whose chair height is already dialed in. If your feet currently reach the floor flat, a fixed rest just fills the gap. If they dangle or you share the desk, the ErGear 3 heights or the ComfiLife 2 options earn their place.
Setup Notes
- Measure the under-desk clearance against the stated footprint before ordering; the ErGear needs 17.13 x 13.19 inches.
- Set the height so the feet rest flat: use the ErGear’s 4.3, 5.5 or 6.7 inch settings or the ComfiLife’s 2 options.
- Place the non-slip side down on hard floors; the Everlasting Comfort and CasaZenith state non-slip bases.
- Keep the washable covers on a laundry rotation; the ComfiLife and Everlasting Comfort covers are machine washable.
