Your mouse started dragging halfway through the morning standup, and the best mouse pad for ptfe feet is the one that lets those slick feet glide instead of fighting the surface. The shortlist here turned out to be PTFE feet themselves, the replacement skates that ride on top of a pad, rather than the pads. We compared these PTFE skate sets by stated material, dot size and thickness, pad compatibility, package contents and warranty term, using only what each listing publishes. The result covers universal dot refills and one model-specific shaped set, so you can match the feet to your mouse and your pad.

How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. For mouse skates, safety means stated safety certifications or safety-relevant features; no listing here states any, so every safety score is 0. A single listing states a warranty term: 1 month. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| X-Raypad Jade Speed Dots | 9.6 | 29 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 1 |
| TALONGAMES 48 Dots | 9.6 | 28 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| HUYUN MX Master 2s Skates | 9.3 | 21 | 18 | 18 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best mouse pad for ptfe feet
Match the feet to your pad
Pad compatibility is the first filter. The X-Raypad Jade Speed Dots suit cloth and glass pads but not plastic or coated pads, while the TALONGAMES 48 Dots are for cloth pads only and the listing rules out glass. Check your pad type before buying, and browse every mice and mouse pads guide for pad options.
Dots versus shaped sets
Universal dots fit any mouse but need careful placement, one dot at a time; shaped sets fit one model with no guesswork. The Jade and TALONGAMES dots are universal, so they work whether you game on a claw grip or push spreadsheets all day. The HUYUN skates are shaped for the Logi MX Master 2s only, which removes the placement chore entirely for owners of that mouse.
| Skate set | Dots | Dot size | Pad fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| X-Raypad Jade Speed Dots | 40 | 6.5 mm / 0.8 mm | Cloth, glass |
| TALONGAMES 48 Dots | 48 | 6 mm / 0.95 mm | Cloth only |
| HUYUN MX Master 2s Skates | 2 sets | Not stated | Not stated |
Check what is in the box
Dot count decides how many refreshes you get before reordering. The Jade box holds 40 dots plus 2 alcohol pads and 2 adhesive removal wipes, the TALONGAMES box holds 48 dots, and the HUYUN package holds 2 sets with 2 alcohol pads. The alcohol pads matter: clean the mouse base before sticking new dots down, or dust under the adhesive shortens their life. If your desk pad is due for an upgrade too, see our best mouse pad for comfort picks.
Read the warranty line
Only the X-Raypad Jade listing states a warranty term: 1 month. The other listings state no warranty term, so treat the purchase as final and keep the alcohol pads from the box. For the mouse itself, our best lightweight mouse for gaming guide compares options.
Decide how much fuss you want at install
Universal dots take patience: you peel a protective film off each dot and place all 40 or 48 by hand. The TALONGAMES listing adds a firm warning to strip every original skate down to the screw holes first, or the extra thickness throws off the sensor. The HUYUN set skips all of that with pre-shaped feet for the MX Master 2s, which is the payoff for its model-specific fit.
Setup Notes
- Remove every original skate down to the screw holes before applying new dots, per the TALONGAMES note; leftover layers make the stack too thick for the sensor.
- Peel the protective film off each Jade dot before sticking it down; the listing warns it is easy to forget.
- Confirm your pad type first: the Jade dots suit cloth and glass but not plastic or coated pads, and the TALONGAMES dots are cloth only.
- The HUYUN package holds 2 sets for the MX Master 2s, so keep the spare set with your desk supplies.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are PTFE mouse feet?
PTFE feet are the slick pads on the bottom of a mouse that let it glide; these listings sell replacement sets you stick on yourself. PTFE is the glide material every listing here names, and worn feet are the usual reason a mouse starts dragging on a pad that used to feel fast.
Will these fit my mouse?
The X-Raypad Jade and TALONGAMES dots are universal dots for any mouse, so they suit whatever you already own. The HUYUN set is shaped for the Logi MX Master 2s only, so it fits that mouse with no trimming and no other mouse at all.
Can I use them on a glass pad?
The Jade listing states its dots suit cloth and glass pads, which covers most desk setups. The TALONGAMES listing states cloth only and rules out glass pads, so glass-pad owners should pick the Jade dots.
How thick are the dots?
The Jade dots are 0.8 mm thick with a 6.5 mm diameter, and the TALONGAMES dots are 0.95 mm thick with a 6 mm diameter. The HUYUN listing states no thickness, so you cannot compare its stack height against the other two.
Which listing states a warranty?
Only the X-Raypad Jade listing states a term: 1 month. The other listings state no warranty term, so keep the alcohol pads and wipes from the box in case a dot needs reseating.
