How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance (light modes, controls and extras), build (materials and mount), value for the stated specs, safety and warranty. For desk lamps, safety means flicker-free lighting or stated safe features the listing names; the BOHON, WERFOP and Ambimall state flicker-free light, the Drevet states safe outlet sockets, and the Mubarek states BPA-free silicone. Four listings state a warranty term: BOHON and WERFOP at 1 year, Drevet at 2 years, and Mubarek with a 3 years quality promise. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BOHON USB Desk Lamp | 9.6 | 29 | 21 | 21 | 5 | 1 |
| Mubarek Cat Night Light | 9.5 | 28 | 19 | 20 | 4 | 2 |

| Ambimall Pink Touch Lamp | 9.5 | 26 | 19 | 20 | 5 | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score.
How to choose the best desk lamp for teens
Start with light modes and controls
Study light should adapt. The BOHON gives 3 color modes with a rotary knob plus auto dimming that reads the room, and the Drevet gives 3 modes with 3 brightness levels and a 1H timer. The Ambimall and WERFOP keep it simple with touch or push-button controls, while the Mubarek cat goes for fun with 16 colors and a remote. If the desk is for homework first, pick the lamp with the most control; if it is mostly a nightstand, simple wins. For a broader look at desk lighting, see our desk lamps and light bars guides.
Count the charging extras
A teen’s desk is a charging station. The BOHON has a USB port on the base that works whether the lamp is on or off, the Ambimall has USB A and C ports, and the Drevet goes further with a USB port plus 2 AC outlets rated at 1250W for a laptop or console. The Mubarek skips the ports and runs on its own rechargeable battery instead. Match the extras to what actually sits on the desk.
Read the listing like a skeptic
The Drevet’s spec table lists dimensions of 13.2 by 52.44 by 76.32 inches and a 1250-watt draw, which cannot describe a small LED desk lamp; the title and bullets describe the lamp plus a 1250W outlet strip, so trust those. The Ambimall listing states no warranty term at all. When a figure looks wrong, it usually is.
| Lamp | Light modes | Warranty |
|---|---|---|
| BOHON USB Desk Lamp | 3 color modes, auto dimming | 1 year manufacturer |
| Mubarek Cat Night Light | 16 colors, 5 dimming levels | 3 years quality promise |
| Drevet Headphone Stand Lamp | 3 modes, 3 brightness levels | 2 year warranty |
Setup Notes
- Measure the desk: the BOHON is 5.91 by 5.91 inches at the base and 18.9 inches tall.

- The Mubarek runs on battery; keep its Type-C cable handy for recharging.
- The Ambimall’s 3000K bulb is included in the box, per the listing.
