How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance (fit for fast gaming: size, surface and base grip), build, value, safety and warranty. For mouse pads, safety means stated safety features, and no listing here states any. Three of the four state a warranty term. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Black Shark Manta P4 XXL | 9.7 | 32 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 4 |
| ASUS ROG Hone Ace XXL | 9.7 | 30 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 3 |
| msi Agility GD20 | 9.6 | 26 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 3 |
| BenQ ZOWIE G-SR-SE | 9.5 | 28 | 20 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best mouse pad for superstrike
Size decides how much of the desk is covered
The Black Shark mat spans 47.2 by 23.6 inches, covering monitor, keyboard and mouse. The ASUS covers 35.4 by 15.7 inches for wide swipes. The BenQ and msi are mouse-sized at 18.5 by 15.3 and 12.5 by 8.7 inches. See all our mouse pad picks.
Surface and thickness change the feel
Thickness runs from 3mm on the Black Shark and ASUS to 3.5mm on the BenQ and 5mm on the msi. The ASUS adds a water-, oil- and dust-resistant coating, and the BenQ cloth resists humidity. For more control-focused options, see our mouse pad for Marvel Rivals guide.
Check the base and the warranty
Every listing here claims a non-slip rubber base. Warranty terms vary: the Black Shark lists a 24-month product replacement warranty, the ASUS and msi list 1 year, and the BenQ states no warranty term. Stitched edges appear on the Black Shark and BenQ listings only.
Setup Notes
- The Black Shark listing notes the natural rubber base may smell at first; ventilate it a few days before a long session.
- Measure the desk depth: the 23.6 inch Black Shark mat needs a deep desk.
- Unroll XXL mats flat and let them settle before gaming.
- Check the stated size against your keyboard and mouse layout.
