How to choose the best office chair for rounded shoulders
Look for lumbar and headrest adjustment
Lumbar support and a headrest are the features that matter most here. The CASASIO 2307 has a 4-way lumbar cushion and a 3D adjustable headrest for height, depth and angle. The CASASIO 869 has 4-way lumbar that moves up and down 1.8 inches and in and out 1.0 inch. The MOLENTS has lumbar that adjusts up, down, forward and backward. The GTPLAYER has built-in lumbar support with a winged back design. The Amazon Basics has a contoured backrest with no lumbar adjustment. More adjustment directions mean a better fit for your spine. For high-desk setups, see ergonomic office chairs for high desks.
Check the armrests
Armrests support your arms so your shoulders can relax. The MOLENTS has 3D adjustable armrests. The GTPLAYER and both CASASIO chairs have 90-degree flip-up armrests that fold away to push the chair under the desk. The Amazon Basics has padded fixed armrests. If you switch between typing and other tasks, flip-up or 3D arms adapt better than fixed arms. For armless options, see ergonomic office chairs without arms.
Compare weight capacity and build
Weight capacity runs from 275 to 330 pounds. The Amazon Basics supports 275 pounds, the GTPLAYER and MOLENTS 300 pounds, and both CASASIO chairs 330 pounds. Note the CASASIO 2307 bullets say 350 pounds while the title and spec table say 330. Build materials include metal bases and frames on the GTPLAYER and 2307, nylon on the 869 and MOLENTS, and bonded leather upholstery on the Amazon Basics. The GTPLAYER lists BIFMA-certified casters and an SGS-certified Class 3 gas lift; the MOLENTS is BIFMA X5.1 certified.
Weigh the warranty
Two of the five state a warranty. The CASASIO 2307 lists a 5-year warranty with 24/7 support. The MOLENTS lists a 2-year warranty service that needs activation with the manufacturer. The Amazon Basics, GTPLAYER and CASASIO 869 state no warranty term. A stated warranty has real value on a chair with moving parts. Browse all office chairs for more options.
