How we scored them
The Office Score weighs glide and protection, build, value, safety and warranty. None of these listings states a safety certification or a warranty term, so both lines score zero across the list. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vicwe 48×36 Carpet Chair Mat | 9.7 | 32 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| LeapYouth 36×48 Carpet Chair Mat | 9.7 | 32 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |

| labeta 30×48 Compact Chair Mat | 9.6 | 30 | 21 | 21 | n/a | 0 |
| BESBLEE 36×48 Washable Rug Mat | 9.6 | 30 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best office desk mat for carpet
Studs for carpet grip
On carpet, the mat needs grip underneath: the Vicwe and labeta state anti-slip studs that bite into the pile. The LeapYouth states a non-slip PVC surface and the Lreedy states anti-slip. A mat that walks across the carpet is worse than no mat. See our best chair mat for carpeted floors guide for more grippy picks.
Thickness and pile
Thickness here runs 2.5mm on the Vicwe and 2.2 to 3mm on the LeapYouth, with the BESBLEE at 1/5 inch. The listings state low pile carpet for the LeapYouth, labeta and Lreedy; deep pile needs a thicker, stiffer mat than anything here. Match the mat to your pile: low pile takes any of the four carpet picks. See our best chair mat for low pile carpet guide for more.
Size and coverage
Sizes run 30×48, 36×48 and 48×36 inches. The labeta’s 30×48 suits small desks and workstations; the 36×48 and 48×36 sizes cover a full chair roll zone. Measure your chair’s travel before you buy; a mat that ends where the wheels do is the right size.
