How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. None of the five listings states a safety certification, and none states a warranty term, so those two weights score zero across the board here. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DOOKE Floral Wrist Support Pad | 9.6 | 28 | 21 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
| Logitech Studio Series Pad | 9.6 | 28 | 21 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
| DEMON CHEST Gel Wrist Pad | 9.5 | 28 | 20 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
| Gctriki Figureoutable Pad | 9.5 | 27 | 20 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
| GREEDY FARMERS PU Leather Pad | 9.5 | 27 | 19 | 19 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best mouse pad for working from home
Wrist support or flat pad
Two picks include a built-in wrist rest: the DOOKE with a raised memory foam rest and the DEMON CHEST with a gel-filled rest. Both are 0.8 to 0.9 in thick at the rest, which keeps the wrist level with the mouse. The other three are flat pads: the Logitech at 9 x 8 in, the Gctriki at 8.7 x 8.7 in and the GREEDY FARMERS at 8.7 x 7.1 in. We describe wrist rests as comfort features and skip the listings’ health claims. See the mice and mouse pads category for more.
Surface and spill handling
Surfaces range from the DEMON CHEST’s Lycra to the Logitech’s fine-weave cloth, the Gctriki’s smooth tracking surface and the GREEDY FARMERS’ PU leather. The Logitech and GREEDY FARMERS both claim spill resistance: the Logitech’s coated surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the GREEDY FARMERS is waterproof and dustproof. The DOOKE adds reinforced edges against deformation.
| Pick | Size | Wrist rest | Surface | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DOOKE Floral Wrist Support Pad | 9.4 x 8.3 in | Memory foam | Smooth, breathable | Not stated |
| Logitech Studio Series Pad | 9 x 8 in | None | Cloth, spill-repellent | Not stated as a term |
| DEMON CHEST Gel Wrist Pad | 9 x 7.5 in | Gel | Lycra | None stated |
| Gctriki Figureoutable Pad | 8.7 x 8.7 in | None | Smooth | Not stated |
| GREEDY FARMERS PU Leather Pad | 8.7 x 7.1 in | None | PU leather, waterproof | No warranty |
Size, style and portability
All five are compact desk pads between 7.1 and 9.4 in wide, so any fits a home desk. The Gctriki brings a motivational print for a personal desk, the DOOKE a floral pattern, and the GREEDY FARMERS a vanilla cream leather look; the Logitech comes in graphite. The GREEDY FARMERS and Logitech both play the portability angle: the GREEDY FARMERS at 43 g fits a bag, and the Logitech is pitched as a travel pad. For the mouse that goes on top, our best wireless mouse for Apple laptop picks cover the pairing.
Setup Notes
- Place the pad so the wrist rest, if any, sits directly in front of the keyboard tray line where your wrist naturally lands.
- Give a new pad a day to lie flat; the DOOKE’s reinforced edges resist curling.
- Wipe spills promptly on the coated pads; the GREEDY FARMERS is waterproof but the DOOKE’s fabric is not stated as such.
- Pair a small pad with a compact mouse so you are not reaching past the pad’s edge.
