How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance (size, thickness and surface), build, value for the stated specs, safety and warranty. For a mouse pad, safety means a stated certification; none of the four states one. Warranty descriptions read only “1” on two listings, which names no term. How we pick explains the weights.

| RMYMPMYX 9.6×7.9 Calendar Pad | 9.5 | 27 | 20 | 20 | n/a | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
How to choose the best mouse pad for desktop
Desk pad or compact pad
Three of the four are desk pads: 35.4 by 15.7 in, and two at 31.5 by 11.8 in. The RMYMPMYX is a compact 9.6 by 7.9 in pad with a 2027 calendar print. A desk pad fits keyboard and mouse; a compact pad suits a small desk or a bag. Also see our best mouse pad for L shaped desks for bigger setups.
Surface and tracking
The SANWUMIAN and dllaojias use superfine Lycra cloth for smooth gliding; the LQFIWSS has a waterproof coating that beads liquid; the RMYMPMYX uses a textile weave. Waterproof coatings suit coffee zones; cloth suits speed. Also compare best mouse pad for tracking for precision.
| Pad | Size | Thickness | Surface |
|---|---|---|---|
| LQFIWSS | 35.4 x 15.7 in | 0.12 in | Waterproof coating |
| SANWUMIAN | 31.5 x 11.8 in | 0.12 in | Lycra cloth |
| RMYMPMYX | 9.6 x 7.9 in | 0.1 in | Textile weave |
Stitched edges and base
All four have stitched edges and a non-slip rubber base. Stitched edges resist fraying and peeling; dense rubber bases grip the desktop. The LQFIWSS and RMYMPMYX state anti-slide designs explicitly. Also see our best mouse pad for designers for art work.
Design prints
Two are galaxy prints (SANWUMIAN, dllaojias), one is a retro American flag (LQFIWSS) and one is a 2027 calendar (RMYMPMYX). Prints do not change the specs, but a desk pad is also decor.
Setup Notes
- Measure the desk: desk pads need 31.5 to 35.4 in of width; the compact pad needs 9.6 in.
- Lay the pad flat with the rubber base down; stitched edges should sit flat at the borders.
- Washable pads (SANWUMIAN, LQFIWSS, RMYMPMYX) clean with water; the dllaojias wipes with a damp cloth.
- Roll the compact pad for a bag; the desk pads stay put under the keyboard.
