How we scored them
The Office Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty. Safety for charging pads means the stated electrical protections: overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection appear on three of the five listings. Four of the five picks state a warranty term, from 12 months to 24 months. How we pick explains the weights.
| Product | Office Score | Perf. /35 | Build /25 | Value /25 | Safety /10 | Warranty /5 |

| VIVIYA Wrist Rest Charging Pad | 9.5 | 28 | 20 | 20 | 7 | 0 |
Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score.
How to choose the best mouse pad with wireless charger
Charging wattage and what it charges
Every pick lists 15W Qi wireless charging for phones, and most add slower rates for other devices: the abc.mat RGB lists 7.5W for iPhones and 5W for AirPods, and the abc.mat Magnetic lists 5W AirPods charging alongside 15W phone charging. The TopMade adds a MagSafe magnetic charging area for iPhones, while the Gimars uses a raised charging platform the listing says improves positioning. Note that fast charging needs a matching adapter: the Gimars needs 9V 2A and the TopMade 9V 3A, and neither includes the adapter.
Pad size and surface
Four picks are XXL desk mats around 31.5 inches wide: the TopMade and both abc.mat pads list 31.5 x 15.75 to 15.8 in, while the Gimars is narrower at 31.5 x 11.8 in. Thickness runs from 0.12 in on the abc.mat Magnetic to 0.16 in on the TopMade and abc.mat RGB. All five list a smooth tracking surface with a non-slip rubber base and water-resistant or spill-proof coating. See the mice and mouse pads category for more desk surfaces.
| Pick | Pad size | Charging | Stated warranty |
|---|---|---|---|
| abc.mat Magnetic Charging Pad | 31.5 x 15.8 in | 15W phone, 5W AirPods | 24 months |
| abc.mat RGB Charging Desk Mat | 31.5 x 15.8 in | 15W, 7.5W, 5W | 12 months |
| TopMade XXL Charging Mouse Pad | 31.5 x 15.75 in | 15W, MagSafe | 1 year |
| Gimars RGB Charging Mouse Pad | 31.5 x 11.8 in | 15W Qi | 1 year |
| VIVIYA Wrist Rest Charging Pad | Not stated | 15W Qi | Not stated as a term |
Extras: RGB, wrist rests and cables
Two picks add RGB lighting: the Gimars lists 10 modes and the abc.mat RGB lists 24 modes with power-off memory. The VIVIYA is the only pick with a built-in wrist rest, a raised cushion in front of the mousing area. On cables, the abc.mat Magnetic includes a 6.56 ft braided USB-C cable and the abc.mat RGB a 6.6 ft USB-C cable, while the Gimars includes a Type-C cable but no adapter. For the mouse that goes on top, our best wireless mouse for Apple laptop picks cover the pairing.
Setup Notes
- Measure the desk first: four picks are about 31.5 in wide, so check they fit between your monitor stand and the desk edge.
- Bring your own power adapter where the listing says it is not included: the Gimars needs 9V 2A and the TopMade 9V 3A for full 15W charging.
- Place the pad so the charging zone sits where your phone naturally rests; the magnetic pads self-align, the Gimars uses a raised platform.
- Keep the charging area clear of metal objects, and use the cable length stated (6.56 ft on the abc.mat Magnetic, 6.6 ft on the abc.mat RGB) to reach the outlet.
